Arsenal Transfer: Aarons and Lamptey interest, Arteta on Balogun future

Mikel Arteta opened up on contracting Coronavirus Isolation and recovery

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is expected to leave the club this summer and the Spaniard is thought to be open to new challenges.

The player has been linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain in the past and it remains to be seen where the former Barcelona academy graduate ends up.

Apparently Arsenal are already planning for life without Bellerin and they’re looking at Max Aarons from Norwich City and Tariq Lamptey from Brighton as potential replacements.

Both youngsters have done well for their respective clubs and they have shown their qualities in the Premier League.

They have the talent to play for a top club like Arsenal and it will be interesting to see if the Gunners can agree on a fee with their clubs in the coming months.

Max Aarons is currently plying his trade in the championship and he might be a more inexpensive option as compared to Lamptey.

However, if Norwich are promoted to the Premier League at the end of this season, the Canaries might demand a premium for Aarons.

Balogun future

Meanwhile Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun has been linked with a move away from the London club in recent months.

The 19 year old has entered the final four months of his contract and he could leave on a free transfer at the end of this season.

However manager Mikel Arteta claims that Arsenal have not given up hope of keeping the youngster at the club and they are holding contract talks with the player.

“I think I am pretty positive about it and every time I spoke to him, he mentions the same thing, that he’s determined to stay here and he wants to stay here,” said Arteta.

“He has some really positive conversations with his agent as well and [Arsenal technical director] Edu is in charge of that.

“He’s been spending a lot of time and energy to make that deal happen because it’s important for us to keep our talent in the house, and what we can guarantee is that we’re doing everything we can to keep him.”
