Arsenal Transfer: Arteta could sacrifice starlet for transfer funds, Frenchman on Edu’s radar

Bukayo Saka-Arsenal

Saka linked with an exit

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could be forced to sell one of his key players this summer in order to fund new signings.

According to reports, youngster Bukayo Saka may have to be sacrificed in order to strengthen the squad this summer.

The Gunners are likely to miss out on Champions League football for another season and they cannot afford to keep dropping out of the top four.

It is evident that the London side are in desperate need of some investment so that they can push the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United next season. Even the likes of Leicester have moved ahead of them in recent seasons.

Arsenal are already under financial stress because of the Coronavirus pandemic and they won’t have the European money to work with either.

Selling a key player is their only way to spend heavily this summer and it will be interesting to see how the next few months unfold. Saka is one of the most talented youngsters to come out of the Arsenal academy and his departure could infuriate the fans.

Zagadou pursuit could solve Arsenal problem

Meanwhile, Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou.

The Frenchman is highly rated around Europe and he has a big future ahead of him.

It will be interesting to see if Edu can unite him with his compatriot William Saliba at Arsenal next season.

The Gunners need to improve defensively in order to challenge for the major honours and a defensive pairing of Dan-Axel Zagadou and William Saliba could set up the Londoners at the back for years to come.

A strong defensive base would improve Arsenal immensely and Edu could fix a major problem for the Gunners by signing the Frenchman this summer.
