Barcelona Transfer: Spanish giants have plan B if Haaland does not join, Wijnaldum deal could collapse

Martinez plan

Barcelona are looking to sign a top-class striker at the end of the season and Erling Haaland is thought to be a priority for them.

However, the Borussia Dortmund striker is likely to cost a lot of money and if the German club decide to hold on to him this summer Barcelona could switch to their plan B.

According to reports Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez is another option for the Spanish club.

Apparently, the Argentine is willing to play at Camp Nou especially if Lionel Messi commits his future to Barcelona.

The Inter Milan striker is highly talented and he could be a superb addition to the Barcelona attack next season.

Wijnaldum pursuit

Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum but it seems that the Spanish giants could walk away from the deal.

The Spanish outfit are under financial stress because of their massive debts and they could abandon the pursuit of the Dutch international and instead hand youngster Ilaix Moriba a key role in the side.

Moriba has managed to break into the first team scene under Ronald Koeman this season and the midfielder is keen to repay the faith shown in him by the Dutch manager.

Newly appointed president Joan Laporta is also keen for the club to return to their roots and develop their young players.

It will be interesting to see if Barcelona decide to end their pursuit of the Liverpool star in the coming weeks.
