Barcelona interested in highly-rated Basel striker

Barcelona are keeping tabs on Basel striker Arthur Cabral ahead of a potential transfer in January.

The Catalans, who are deprived of attacking options, are in the market for reinforcements.

According to Barca Blaugranes, FC Basel striker Arthur Cabral has emerged as a surprise target for Barca.

The report also adds the 23-year-old is topping the list to become Barca’s next number 9.

Cabral has made a huge impact at the Swiss club over the last few seasons.

In the ongoing season, he has racked up 13 goals and 4 assists in the Swiss Super League, adding to it two goals in three Europa League games.

Cabral is represented by Deco, who is Barca’s head scout in Brazil and Portugal. The former Portugal star also feels that a move to Camp Nou could be the next big step in Cabral’s career.

The Brazilian youngster is rated around €15m but Barca have to make sure there should be some departures in order to facilitate any new signings.

Pulisic’s transfer fee revealed

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic is understood to be a top target for Barcelona.

The USMNT star has fallen down the pecking order of Thomas Tuchel due to his lack of form and fitness issues.

According to a new report from Four Four Two, Chelsea are ready to part ways with Pulisic and would demand £42m from the suitors.

Besides Barca, Liverpool have also shown interest in the 23-year-old.

Xavi is apparently showing a lot of preference to the wingers and feels that Pulisic can be a great addition to the Catalan giants.

The former Dortmund star could also be open to leaving Stamford Bridge if he continues to enjoy less game time under Tuchel.

A price tag of £42m looks a hefty one given Barca’s current financial situation.

Earlier, Barca chief Mateu Alemany also stated that it would be difficult to sign new players in the January transfer window.
