Chelsea transfer: Abramovich to hand Tuchel £150m for summer spending, Pulisic rubbishes exit talks

Tuchel has the backing of Abramovich in the transfer window.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to hand Thomas Tuchel a whopping amount of 150m pounds to spend in the transfer window, with the Blues eyeing a new striker in the market.

Despite a relentless transfer fee last summer, Abramovich wants to ensure Tuchel has the strongest squad heading into the next season.

The German manager prioritizes a move for a new striker as Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud face an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge. At the same time, Timo Werner has been sluggish in his debut season.

Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland are said to be topping the wish list of the Blues, but both are likely to cost expensive fees due to their increased value.

Haaland has been chased by plenty of top clubs, while Lukaku has been linked with a move to Barcelona apart from the Londoners. However, Lukaku has recently stated his desire to continue with Inter Milan after winning the Serie A title.

Pulisic shrugs off exit speculations.

Christian Pulisic has clearly gone down the pecking order of Tuchel, starting in only 11 games out of 26 in all competitions.

The lack of game time under the German manager spurred the exit speculations of the American youngster.

However, Pulisic has shrugged off the rumours about his future, insisting that he likes the current challenge at Stamford Bridge.

“People have always doubted and said: ‘Oh, he’s not playing, does he want to go here, does he want to go there?’ I’m always up for a challenge, I love competing, I love the position I’m in, and I’m enjoying my time here.”

The 22-year-old scored a crucial goal in the away leg against Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
