Liverpool Transfer: Man City signing could boost the Reds financially, Brazilian wonderkid being scouted

Danny Ings-Southampton

Danny Ings windfall

Liverpool could benefit financially if Manchester City manage to pull off the signing of Danny Ings this summer.

Apparently, Manchester City are keen on signing the Southampton striker.

When Liverpool sold Danny Ings to Southampton they inserted a 20% sell-on clause in his contract which means that they will pocket a substantial amount of the transfer fee if Ings moves to Manchester City.

The former Liverpool striker has been outstanding for Southampton and he could prove to be a handy option for Manchester City if they manage to sign him.

Sergio Aguero has been linked with a move away from City and Ings could be his replacement next season.

Angelo Gabriel being scouted

Meanwhile, Liverpool are scouting Brazilian youngster Angelo Gabriel who has been likened to Neymar.

Santos sporting director Jorge Andrade has revealed that the Premier League champions are currently scouting the Brazilian wonder kid who has a release clause of €60 million.

It will be interesting to see if the Reds follow up on their interest with a concrete offer in the coming months.

Gabriel is rated highly in Brazil and he has a big future ahead of him. A world-class manager like Jurgen Klopp could help him fulfil his potential.

Andrade said: “Angelo is a boy who has been growing, developing and (the scouts) are certainly watching him. Not only Liverpool but other teams in the European market as well.”
