Sergio Aguero has bid farewell to Manchester City after spending a decade at the club. There couldn’t have been a fitting end to his career as he scored a brace on his final appearance at Etihad, thus surpassing Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney for most goals scored for a single club.

With 184 goals, Aguero stands out as the most productive foreign player in the Premier League. He is also the fourth on the all-time top-scorer list.

Most goals scored in a single game

Aguero found the nets five in a Premier League match against Newcastle United in 2015, making him the player with the most goals scored in a single Premier League appearance. In fact, the Argentine did it while playing for only 66 minutes.

Most hat-tricks

The 33-year-old leads the list for scoring most hat-tricks (12) in the Premier League.

Most player of the month awards

Aguero has won the Premier League player of the month award 7 times, more than any players in the English top-flight history.

Premier League Golden Boot winner in 2014/15

Aguero ended up as the Premier League’s top scorer in the 2014/15 season, where Manchester City were the runners up. The Argentine scored 26 goals in the process to lift his only Premier League Golden Boot until now.

Aguero managed to break Rooney’s long-running record for most goals scored for a single club (183) by scoring a brace on Sunday. He now leads the lists with 184 goals.

Guardiola said: “Maybe I reveal a secret. Maybe he is close to agreeing on a deal for the club of my heart – for Barcelona.
