Aguero wants Premier League stay – Chelsea, Spurs keen

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will be out of contract at the end of the season but the Argentine is keen on remaining in the Premier League.

According to reports, the 32-year-old is looking to prove that he can add to his 257 goals in England and he has been linked with the move to Chelsea and Tottenham.

Apparently, the player is willing to forego Champions League football next season in order to stay in England and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Chelsea could definitely use a proven goal scorer like him and Aguero would be an upgrade on the likes of Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham.

Summer signing Timo Werner has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge and Aguero’s arrival could help share the goalscoring burden with the German.

Sander Berge pursuit

Meanwhile, Manchester City are already eyeing up a long term replacement for star midfielder Fernandinho.

The Brazilian has been a key player for the Premier League side of the last few seasons but he is 36 years old and his contract is nearing its end.

Apparently, Manchester City are looking at the Premier League midfielder Sander Berge to replace the Brazilian next season.

Berge has done well for Sheffield United in the Premier League and he should be available when the blades are relegated to the championship at the end of the season. Liverpool emerged as another contender for Sheffield midfielder.

Sheffield United are at the bottom of the Premier League table right now and it is highly unlikely that they will be able to preserve their Premier League status for another season.

Berge is too good to play in the championship and therefore he is likely to force a move away from Sheffield United in the summer.

Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge (23) is on top of #ManCity's target list to replace Fernandinho this summer. Pep Guardiola wants to push for his signing, while KRC Genk would be entitled to 20% of the fee from any future sale. [@voetbal24be via @Sport_Witness]
