Zidane to leave Real Madrid at the end of season

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly informed the players of his decision to leave this season.

The report also adds that the French manager made his feelings clear prior to last week’s La Liga clash against Sevilla.

Zidane’s transfer rumours began to circulate after Madrid was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Chelsea. The French man is said to have become weary of the pressure after failing in UCL for the third consecutive time.

In such a case, Zidane will oversee two games against Athletic Club and Villarreal in La Liga. Real Madrid have the slimmest chance of retaining the league title if they win their rest of the games, and at the same time, Atletico drop points.

Juventus has been touted as a possible destination for the French gaffer as the Italians are seeking a replacement for Andrea Pirlo.

Real Madrid demand £60m for Raphael Varane

Los Blancos have set the asking price of Raphael Varane at £60m as the centre-back continues to get linked with an exit.

The French defender wants to leave this summer despite having a contract until 2022.

Manchester United, a potential suitor for Varane, have reportedly made an opening bid of £40m, but Real want £20m more for the centre-back.

Sergio Ramos, like Varane, has also been linked with an exit as his contract runs out this summer. It leaves Madrid with fewer options in the defence, and players like Eder Militao and Nacho are expected to play a huge role next season.
