Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Chelsea midfielder Willian this summer.
As per reports, the Gunners are now closing in on the Premier League midfielder. Coutinho is thought to be closing in on a move to Arsenal as well.
Willian and Coutinho have the same agent, Kia Joorabchian and he is trying to bring his clients to London.
Coutinho has fallen out of favour at Barcelona and he needs a new club. It will be interesting to see if it’s a loan deal or a permanent one. Arsenal might not be able to afford him permanently right now.
Meanwhile, Willian will be a free agent at the end of this season and he could prove to be a massive bargain for Arsenal.
On a free transfer, it would be a no-brainer for the Gunners.
Willian is a Premier League-proven player who will improve them immediately. The Brazilian can play as an attacking midfielder as well as a wide player. He will add goals and creativity to the side if he signs for Arsenal.
Arteta could use his winning experience as well. Willian could be a leader for Arsenal in the dressing room.
It will be interesting to see if the Gunners can wrap up both transfers soon.
With the likes of Ozil on the decline, they need new creators and the likes of Coutinho/Willian would be ideal for them.
