Arsenal are interested in signing the Norwich defender Max Aarons.

The 20-year-old right back is one of the most talented young players in the Premier League right now and he would be a superb addition to Arteta’s back line.

However, the asking price could be a problem for the Gunners.

Aarons is valued at around £30m and Arsenal will have a limited transfer budget this summer.

The Gunners have faced losses because of the Coronavirus pandemic and they will not be able to spend freely in the market.

It will be interesting to see if they can fund a move for Aarons somehow.

Selling some of their fringe players could help them sign the Norwich City youngster.

If they can afford the asking price, the transfer should be pretty straightforward. Aarons won’t need a lot of convincing to join a club of Arsenal’s stature.

It would be a massive step up in his career and he will be tempted if the Gunners come calling.

Furthermore, Arsenal have a good track record of developing young players and Aarons could fulfill his potential at Emirates. His playing style suits Arsenal’s approach as well.

It will be interesting to see how the saga unfolds in the next few weeks.

Norwich City are destined for relegation this season and Aarons is highly likely to move this summer. He is too good for the Championship.

Whether he joins Arsenal, is another question. Spurs have been linked with the young defender as well.
