Barcelona and Juventus reach agreement over Arthur-Pjanic swap deal

Juventus and Barcelona are closing in on a sensational swap deal involving Pjanic and Arthur.

The Barcelona midfielder is expected to sign for the Italian giants this summer and Juventus will pay a sum of £63m and offer Miralem Pjanic to the Spanish outfit in exchange.

Arthur was not keen on leaving the La Liga side this summer but reports claim that the situation has changed over the past 24 hours and the transfer seems likely now.

The Brazilian joined Barcelona in 2018 and he has been an important player for the Spanish giants since then. However, Barcelona need to balance their books and they are prepared to sell some of their players for the right price.

Arthur is deemed as an expendable member of the squad along with Philippe Coutinho.

It will be interesting to see how Arthur performs in the Serie A next season. Juventus are a top club with several quality players. The slow pace of the Serie A should help Arthur perform better.

The Brazilian is a world class talent and with the right guidance, he could develop into a star for Juventus over the next decade.

Juventus needed to improve their midfield options and Arthur should prove to be a sensational signing for them. The likes of Pjanic and Ramsey are expected to depart this summer and it will be interesting to see any other midfielder comes in along with Arthur this summer.
