- Mohamed Salah, making use of a difficult pass from Sadio Mane – making his 100th league appearance for the club – restored parity with a low finish at right corner, after Sadio Mane dispossessed Jack Simpson deep inside the Cherries’ half. Mane advances towards the box, draws Ramsdale, and then release the ball for Mohamed Salah at his right.
- Sadio Mane scored the winning goal at 33rd minute, as he latched on to Virgil van Dijk’s through-ball to finalise the scoresheet.
What the scoreboard won’t tell
- Liverpool needed a brilliant goal-line save from James Milner, merely few inches outside, to prevent Ryan Fraser from hauling Bournemouth back on level terms in a nervy second half.
- Sadio Mane almost scored his second, when his shocking strike from 30-35 yards hit top-right corner of the post.
