Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is set to join Bayern Munich in a deal worth around £35m.

According to the latest reports, the German club have agreed on a fee with the Premier League giants and Sadio Mane is set to undergo medical tests with the Bundesliga club soon.

The 30-year-old scored 23 goals for Liverpool last season and he helped them to win the English League Cup and the FA Cup.

Mane has been an exceptional player for Liverpool since joining the club from Southampton six years ago and he has established himself as one of the best players in the world during his time at Anfield.

There is no doubt that the 30-year-old will go down as a Liverpool legend and he will also be considered as one of the greatest African players to have graced the Premier League.

The forward had just one year left on his Liverpool deal and it is hardly surprising that he has chosen to pursue a new adventure now.

The Senegalese international has won every trophy at the club level with Liverpool and he will be hoping to showcase his qualities in the Bundesliga now.

Bayern Munich are expected to lose Robert Lewandowski this summer and the Liverpool star could be his replacement.

Lewandowski has been linked with a move to Barcelona and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed that the Liverpool player is heading to Germany and the deal should be finalised soon.
