Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg will look to make it seven games unbeaten in the league when they welcome Borussia Dortmund to Volkswagen Arena.

The hosts beat Mainz 3-0 last time out to take their points tally for the season to 17 points (W4, D5, L4).

The win was the second win in a row after they beat Bochum 4-0 in the game before that. And so, they come into this game with seven goals in their last two games and without conceding a goal in those two goals.

They have successfully moved away from the drop zone and will hope that after a difficult start they can now continue their momentum ahead of the World Cup break.

Niko Kovač has certainly found the winning formula for his resurgent Wolves side whose 15-goal return from their last six league games (W3, D3) dwarfs the five-goal haul from the previous seven.

Ahead of this tie at home, the home faithful will be hoping for yet another dominant performance from their beloved Wolfsburg here as they bid to further strengthen their run of eight unbeaten home games across the last nine (W4, D4).

However, the visit of Borussia Dortmund will throw a spanner in the works though, with the Wolves losing each of the last seven home H2Hs despite taking an early lead in the most recent clash.

Possible Wolfsburg starting line-up

Koen Casteels; Ridle Baku, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Micky van de Ven, Paulo Silva; Maximilian Arnold, Yannick Gerhardt; Patrick Wimmer, Felix Nmecha, Jakub Kaminski; Omar Marmoush.

Injured: Max Kruse, Bartol Franjic, Kevin Parades

Doubtful: None

Borussia Dortmund

Like their hosts, Borussia Dortmund are also unbeaten in their last six games, although that run includes UEFA Champions League games.

The visitors enjoyed a straightforward 3-0 victory in the Ruhr Derby against Bochum last time out. The win extended Dortmund’s Bundesliga winning run to three games, a first for the season.

They will now look to make it four in a row and keep up pace with the Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich who are three points ahead. Even though they are five points worse off than at the same stage in two of the last four seasons, staying within touching distance of the ten-time consecutive champions Bayern Munich will be a top priority if they want to have any chance of a first title since 2011/12.

But for all their improvement, Edin Terzić still has a lot to do away from home where they have lost three times (W3) which accounts for just 36% of their points.

Possible Borussia Dortmund starting line-up

Gregor Kobel; Niklas Suel, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck, Raphael Guerreiro; Emre Can, Jude Bellingham; Karim Adeyemi, Julian Brandt, Giovanni Reyna; Youssoufa Moukoko.

Injured: Tom Rothe, Mats Hummels, Gregor Kobel, Thomas Meunier, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Mahmoud Dahoud, Sebastian Haller

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
