Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing the Italian international Federico Chiesa from Juventus this summer.

According to Daily Mail, the Premier League giants have submitted a bid of around £85 million for the 23-year-old winger, but the Italian outfit have refused to open talks.

Chiesa has been an exceptional player for his country in the European Championships this summer and it is no surprise that the top clubs are looking to sign him.

He had an outstanding campaign with Juventus last year as well, and he managed to score 15 goals across all competitions.

Apparently, Bayern Munich are also interested in signing the Euro 2020 winner but he is considered untouchable by the Italian club.

Chiesa is already one of the most exciting wingers across Europe, and he has the potential to develop into a superstar in the future.

The winger signed for Juventus last summer on a two-year loan deal, and the Italian outfit will sign him permanently for a fee of around £34 million at the end of next season.

There is no doubt that Chelsea will have to bring in quality attacking reinforcements especially in the wide areas, and the Italian international would have been ideal.

Chiesa can operate on either flank and his versatility would have been an asset for the Blues.

It will be interesting to see if the Blues decide to return with an improved offer for the player in the future.
