The Lyon forward is expected to have his medical at Barca in the coming days.
Barcelona look to have made a breakthrough in the pursuit of Lyon forward Memphis Depay.
According to reports, Barcelona have agreed on a deal worth £28m to sign Depay, who has been cited as the replacement for exit-linked Luis Suarez.
It is also added that Depay would be travelling to Spain in the coming days to complete his medical.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp ever since Ronald Koeman took charge. Both have previously worked together at the Dutch national team and are looking to join hands once again.
Earlier, Depay was said to have agreed on personal terms with Blaugrana, with Lyon’s Sporting director Juninho claiming that it would be hard to keep hold of Depay.
The former Manchester United will now have the chance to play alongside Lionel Messi, who has recently decided to continue with the club.
Lautaro Martinez had been the preferred target for Barca before they were put off by Inter’s higher valuation for the striker.
The Argentine’s entourage has also confirmed that he will be continuing at San Siro in the upcoming season.
Depay will look to fill in the shoes of Suarez, who has been axed by the Dutch manager Koeman. The Uruguayan is considering leaving Barca, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid interested in his services.
Although Depay is seen as the successor to Suarez, the Dutchman is more versatile to play anywhere along the forward line.
