Barcelona have reportedly plastered posters of Cristiano Ronaldo at their training ground with a strict warning attached to them.

The 36-year-old Portuguese international contracted the Coronavirus whilst on international duty last year, and it ruled him out of Juventus’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

The Spanish club have now pinned the news stories about Ronaldo testing positive as a warning to their players. The posters come with the statement “the competition is at stake” and in red letters “, the rules are to be met”.

Barcelona are urging their players to live by strict precautions so that they can stay COVID free.

The Catalan giants did well to navigate the pandemic last season, and only Sergi Roberto tested positive for them.

The Spanish outfit will be desperate to win La Liga this coming season after losing out to Atletico Madrid last year.

It was a disappointing season for Ronald Koeman‘s side, who crashed out of the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint Germain.

Barcelona will have to keep their squad fit and fresh to win trophies next season, and they will have to be very careful with the way they deal with the Coronavirus on a daily basis.

The players will have to continue to live inside of a close bubble and reduce interaction with the outer world as much as possible.

Koeman is keeping a close eye on the health of his players after contracting COVID himself.

The Dutch manager revealed that the virus had a significant impact on his health, and he will be hoping to keep his players safe in the coming months.
