Manchester United to target Barcelona winger Ansu Fati for €100m

The 17-year-old has joined hands with the renowned agent Jorge Mendes.

Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati has reportedly changed his agent to Jorge Mendes while being formerly managed by Lionel Messi’s brother.

Fati has now joined hands with super-agent Jorge Mendes, who represents a string of elite footballers like Cristiano Ronaldo, Angel di Maria and Nelson Semedo.

The La Masia graduate had been so far supervised by his father and Messi’s brother regarding any contract decisions.

Fati has a contract running until 2022 with a staggering release clause of around 154 million pounds. He also has a clause in his current deal, which allows him to extend his contract for an additional two years if he manages to become a crucial figure in the first-team.

The Spanish teenager enjoyed a great season last term with Barca, eventually drawing interest from Manchester United. However, the Catalans stated that Fati was not for sale.

Even after a horrible season and with many of the players expected to leave the Nou Camp, Barca President Josep Maria Bartomeu has ensured that Fati is untouchable alongside Riqui Puig.

Fati also broke several records last term, one of the many was becoming Barca’s youngest ever goal-scorer in the Champions League.

His impressive displays have also earned him a call-up to the Spain national team for UEFA National League 2020/21.

Luis Enrique, Spain’s manager, has also heaped praises on Fati for his intelligence and is also excited to meet up with the young talent.
