Higuain warns Messi on any potential Premier League move

Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain in has warned Lionel Messi that a move to the Premier League could bring more suffering for him.

The Barcelona superstar has been linked with a move to England this summer.

The Catalan giants had a horrible season this year and they failed to win the La Liga title or the Champions League.

Recently there have been reports that Lionel Messi wants to leave Barcelona immediately unless there is a major restructure.

It will be interesting to see if the Spanish Giants managed to convince the Argentine to stay at the club. They have already sacked Setien And Ronald Koeman is supposed to take over.

Gonzalo Higuain had a small spell at Chelsea and he failed to make the desired impact. The striker revealed that he struggled to adapt to the harsh conditions of English football.

He has warned that Lionel Messi will have to adapt to that situation if he moves to England. However, he also maintained that Messi is a player of a different level and he should be able to succeed in the Premier League as well.

Higuain said: “I suffered a lot in the Premier League and couldn’t adapt in those six months. It’s nothing like La Liga. Defenders kick the s*** out of you and nothing gets given, they don’t blow for free-kicks like they would in Spain. I don’t know how that would affect Messi. I don’t think he would suffer, since he is a player at another level.”
