Di Maria hopes to see his compatriot Messi moving to the French capital club.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has hit out at PSG star Angel Di Maria after he commented that Lionel Messi would move to Parc Des Princes this summer.

With his contract at the Nou Camp reaching its end, Messi has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain.

When asked about the possibility of Messi joining the Ligue 1 Champions, Di Maria responded,

“Yes, yes, I hope so.”

“There are many possibilities. We have to be calm and things will develop.”

Now, Koeman has deemed the Argentine’s comments as disrespectful especially when Messi is plying his trade at Barca while adding that it could spur up the Champions League contest between both the clubs, which will be played in a few weeks.

“It’s wrong to say such things, especially because it heats up our Champions League match even more.

“I think it’s not fair and it’s disrespectful to talk so much about one player who is still playing for Barcelona.

“I think it is disrespectful to talk so much about Leo while he is playing for Barcelona, especially before a Champions League match against them.”

The Dutch manager had previously commented that he was unsure whether the six-time Ballon d’Or winner would continue playing for the Catalans beyond the summer.

There were also reports of late that Messi could wait until the new President gets elected for Barca to discuss his future.
