The Dutch manager is keen on signing the Liverpool ace.

Former Ajax player Sjaak Swart has revealed that Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman wants to sign Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.

Swart said,

“I know Koeman wants him – and I know Salah would like to go.”

I can’t. I am not going into any more details, but just believe me that I know.”

Koeman has begun his rebuilding process at Barca and is looking for reinforcements in the transfer market.

The interest in Mohamed Salah doesn’t come as a surprise, given his world-class status and how complete he has become a player at Anfield.

The Egyptian international recently scored a hat-trick against Leeds United, helping his side to a 4-3 win.

Post the win, the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp was in full praise of Salah.

Klopp said,

“First and foremost, congratulations to him[Salah]. He is a very special player.”

“The numbers tell the story a little bit. All the rest around you probably don’t know about.”

Elsewhere at Barca, Koeman is looking to sign Lyon forward Memphis Depay as a replacement for the out-of-favour star Luis Suarez.

The Dutch manager eyes a reunion with Depay, who is said to be available for around 30 million euros.

Although Koeman looks to have been relieved after Lionel Messi’s decision to stay, he is well aware that the Argentine could try leaving the Nou camp next summer.

In such a case, Salah would be an ideal replacement for the Blaugrana skipper.
