Albiol wants Kylian Mbappe at La Liga amid Real Madrid speculations

Villarreal defender Raul Albiol, who had previously represented Real Madrid, wants Kylian Mbappe to move to La Liga.

Albiol thinks that the PSG ace can bring the star attraction to the Spanish top-flight following the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Mbappe was heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital club in the final week of the transfer window however PSG were reluctant to sell him.

Madrid will reportedly go after the 22-year-old next summer when his contract expires at Parc des Princes.

Albiol said: “I would like to see him[Mbappe] in the league, he is a great player, world-class and I think players like this are needed in the Spanish League after the departure of Cristiano and Messi – it is important that they come.

“And important for Real Madrid, which is a team that I have played for.”

Hazard determined to prove himself at Madrid.

Eden Hazard has endured a torrid spell at Madrid, failing to create the magic he did at Chelsea for years.

There were also reports about his possible exit when Madrid had been chasing Mbappe in the summer transfer window.

The Belgian international has now put an end to his exit speculation by stating that he wants to prove himself at Madrid.

Hazard said: “Real Madrid spent a lot of money to sign me and I want to give it back to them on the field. I signed for five years and the first two weren’t good, but have three more to prove my worth. I hope that it works out, I hope to wake up one day and feel perfectly fine training. If I keep having some kind of pain, I also play through pain. I’m waiting for my moment to prove my worth.”
