Haaland responds to transfer speculations.

Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has finally responded to his exit rumours, stating that he remains focused on continuing with the Bundesliga outfit.

The Norwegian has been subject to transfer interest of a host of top European clubs including Real Madrid.

Haaland said,

“I still have three years of contract [at Dortmund]. I am not worried about that.”

Madrid are understood to be one of the favourites for the 20-year-old but it remains to be seen whether they will get the job done this summer.

Liverpool interested in Asensio

Los Blancos forward Marco Asensio has surprisingly emerged as a summer target for Liverpool as they consider the Spaniard as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Salah’s exit rumours have surfaced after he was substituted midway through the game against Chelsea earlier this month.

Asensio has mainly featured as a substitute for Madrid this season, chipping in with four goals and two assists.

Zinedine to stay at Madrid

Zinedine Zidane will remain at Madrid next season and the report also adds that he won’t take the managerial job at the France national team.

Zidane’s contract will expire in 2022 and has been touted as the successor to French boss Didier Deschamps after Euros.

However, Zidane wouldn’t be willing to take over as national team coach any time soon and also would open contract talks with the Spanish capital club.

Although Madrid have endured a fluctuating season, the French manager has helped them to turn things around of late as they had qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals and currently third in the La Liga table.
