Real Mallorca

Real Mallorca welcome Barcelona to the Estadi (Palma de Mallorca) as they look to continue their march up the La Liga table after the international break.

Javier Aguire’s side have recorded two wins, two draws and two losses in six games, which sees them occupy tenth position with eight points.

The home side come into this encounter off the back of a 1-0 win over Almeria before going in on the International break and will come into this game full of hope and a fresh impetus to take on the Blaugrana.

Real Mallorca have struggled to cope with the sides in the top four this season, losing both to Real Betis and Real Madrid. Javier Aguirre will be hoping that the injuries and the international break will take its toll on Xavi’s men with a host of players returning with fatigue and others out injured.

However, the Italian manager faces the daunting task of taking on a Barcelona side who have more than enough squad depth to make up for their missing players.

Possible Real Mallorca starting line-up

Predrag Rajkovic; Martin Valjent, Antonio Raillo, Matija Nastasic; Pablo Maffeo, Kang-in Lee, Andres Battaglia, Jaume Costa; I. Ruiz de, Antonio Sanchez; Vedat Muriqi.

Barcelona

Barcelona resume their title quest with an away trip to Real Mallorca amid an injury crisis which has seen the likes of Hector Bellerin, Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde, Frenkie De Jong and Memphis Depay all get injured during the International break.

Barcelona have enjoyed much success so far this season and boasts the best defensive records in Europe’s top five Leagues. But the loss of two of the first-choice centre-backs of Araujo and Kounde will be a major cause of concern for Xavi Hernandez, who lost both players to different injuries during their national team duties with Uruguay and France respectively.

However, thanks to a successful summer transfer, the Spanish coach has enough personnel to cover for the injured players for now.

Barcelona secured a 3-0 win over Elche before the International break and will be looking to continue their impressive run of games in a bid to wrestle the League from Real Madrid.

The Blaugrana have enjoyed much success up-front also thanks to the arrivals of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha and rejuvenated Ousmane Dembele.

Possible Barcelona starting line-up

Marc Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Andreas Chritensen, Eric Garcia, Alex Balde; Gavi, Sergio Busquets, Pedri; Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele.

Injured: Hector Bellerin, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie De Jong, Memphis Depay, Jules Kounde
