Top Five destinations for PSG ace Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly sought a transfer request from PSG next summer. The French World Cup winner’s contract at Parc des Princes runs until the summer of 2022, and there appear to be no intentions for Mabppe to sign a renewal. In such an event, the Ligue 1 champions will be forced to sell their second expensive player in history for a desirable fee, which is understood to be around £300m.

With one year left in the contract, the Frenchman would certainly cost anything between £100-160 million next summer.

Here we take a look at the five possible destinations for Mbappe.

Real Madrid

When it comes to Mbappe, it is quite hard to keep Real Madrid out of the discussion due to their frequent links with the PSG ace. Recent reports also suggested that Los Blancos are plotting a swoop for Mbappe next summer when he enters into the final 12 months of his contract. Madrid are searching for an ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo as Eden Hazard failed to hit the ground running in his first season. Mbappe could be the next Ronaldo as he had already achieved a lot at this young age.

Kylian Mbappe would be a good addition on the top of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo after Benzema hangs his boot. Many think that Mbappe would have been already in Madrid if there had not been the pandemic situation that we are in. Gareth Bale situation would further stress Real Madrid financials.

Liverpool

Liverpool has been linked with a move for Mbappe for a while, with the 21-year-old even showing his admiration for their style of play. The Reds are now a different side after winning the Champions League and Premier League in the space of two years. Mbappe could be tempted to join the Reds given their status as European giants.

Liverpool have one of the most potent forward lines with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino at the top. With the constant transfer rumours, Mbappe would undoubtedly improve the attack of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Manchester United

The least likely destination for Mabppe would be Old Trafford. The only way Man Utd can pull off the transfer is only by upping their ante. A successful season in the Premier League and Champions League alone can help the Red Devils sign a superstar like Kylian Mbappe. Furthermore, it is a question of money for Manchester United, whether they could splash the cash for Mbappe.

With Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood being first choices to start right now, Kylian Mbappe would certainly improve attack at Old Trafford.

Bayern Munich

One of the reasons for Mbappe to leave Paris would be the lack of success in European competitions. Bayern Munich can provide that opportunity to Mabppe, having been recently crowned as the Champions League winners. Ironically, Mbappe was at the receiving end when Bayern lifted the title. With Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller’s legs getting worn out, Mbappe could become Bayern’s next superstar. It makes sense for the player and the club.

Kelian Mbappe would not only be another jewel in the future attacking line alongside Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Koman, but he would also tremendously add value to Bayern Munich attack.

Barcelona

Barcelona have to look for a life beyond Lionel Messi, whose days are being counted at the Nou Camp. There wouldn’t be any player better than Mbappe to succeed the Argentine at Barca. But it remains to be seen whether they will look at the possibility of signing the former Monaco star as they have already invested in young talents like Ansu Fati and Francisco Trincao. Both players have been tipped to succeed with the first-team this season.

Whereas Barcelona can have an experienced campaigner alongside Fati and Trincao, it would be ideal for Frenchman to grab the opportunity if Messi leaves next year.
