Arsenal

Arsenal continued their impressive start to the campaign as they are fighting on all fronts for both domestic and international glory.

The Gunners secured a 3-0 win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday night, to continue their unbeaten start in the UEFA competition and maintain a firm grip on Group A. Goals from Eddie Nketiah, Rob Holding and Fábio Vieira were enough to see off the Moldovan side.

Mikel Arteta’s side have now picked up four consecutive wins in their last five games in all competitions, including a 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, which went a long way in proving their title credentials.

Arsenal come into this game as the best side in the division having picked up an impressive 21 points out of a possible 23 to sit on top of the EPL tables, and with momentum on their side the Gunners will greatly fancy their chances against a Liverpool side who have looked out of sorts this season.

Despite their contrasting form, Mikel Arteta will be wary of the threat Liverpool poses to their title ambitions and will be keen to see his boys avoid the same mistakes they made against Manchester United

Arsenal’s home record has been impeccable this season with the Gunners yet to taste a defeat or a draw when playing at home, and once more Mikel Arteta will be counting on the home fans to be the 12th man when they take on Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Possible Arsenal starting line-up

Aaron Ramsdale; Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel, Oleksandr Zinchenko; Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey; Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli; Gabriel Jesus.

Injured: Emile Smith Rowe, Mohamed Elneny

Doubtful: Cedric Soares

Suspended: None

Liverpool

Liverpool continued their slow start to the season with yet another dropped point against Brighton last weekend, playing out a 3-3 draw against the Seagulls at Anfield.

However, it was not all doom and gloom for Jurgen Klopp’s side who keep clawing back even after going two goals down, the Reds staged an impressive comeback and nearly stole all three points save for a late Leandro Trossard strike, who grabbed his third of the day to share the spoils at Anfield.

Liverpool immediately bounced back from their draw with an impressive win over Rangers in the UEFA Champions League which took them to second in their group.

Jurgen Klopp was greatly satisfied with his teams showing against the Scottish side and it is worth noting that the signs around Anfield had greatly improved, especially concerning injury and form.

With that in mind, Liverpool come into this encounter in a good moment and judging by their dominance in this fixture in recent times, Jurgen Klopp’s side will greatly fancy their chances of extending their unbeaten run against Gunners to six, with four wins and one draw. However, Jurgen Klopp’s side faces a sterner test than in recent times as they come up against a rejuvenated Arsenal side.

Possible Liverpool starting line-up

Alisson Becker; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Kosta Tsimikas; Fabinho, Harvey Elliot, Thiago Alcantara; Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino.

Injured: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Calvin Ramsay, Curtis Jones

Doubtful: Andy Robertson

Suspended: None
