Aston Villa

Aston Villa will look to begin life under Unai Emery with a win when they welcome Manchester United to Villa Park.

The Villans were totally blown away by a rampant Newcastle United side last time out, with goals from Miguel Almiron, Joelinton and a brace from Callum Wilson sealing what was an emphatic victory for the Magpies.

But they have appointed Unai Emery after the sacking of Steven Gerrard and will expect the Spanish tactician to bring success back to Villa Park. The Europa League-winning coach will be keen to start his second tenure in England to a good start.

However, he will have to start with a tricky game against Manchester United and having had just a few days of training with his new players, the odds weigh heavily against his struggling side.

But given that the Spanish tactician comes to the job full of experience and a decent record in his first game at each of the eight clubs he has managed (W4, D2, L2), he will fancy himself against a Manchester United he won recently to lift the Europa League.

Possible Aston Villa starting line-up

Robin Olsen; Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings, Lucas Digne; John McGinn, Douglas Luiz; Leon Bailey, Emiliano Buendia, Ollie Watkins; Danny Ings.

Injured: Diego Carlos, Boubacar Kamara, Ludwig Augustinsson

Doubtful: Emi Martinez

Manchester United

Manchester United, on the other hand, travel to Villa Park in search of their fourth straight win in all competitions.

The Red Devils come into this game off the back of a 0-1 win over Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday. Alejandro Granacho, who made his first start for Manchester United, gave the Red Devils the lead in the 17th minute against the Spanish side.

The Argentine’s goal was enough to seal the victory for Erik Ten Hag’s side who await their opponents in the Europa League knockout round playoffs.

Manchester United secured a 1-0 win over West Ham United in their last outing in the Premier League, to remain in contention for moving into the top four.

Marcus Rashford marked his 100th goal for the club with a well-taken header as Manchester United extended their unbeaten streak to five in the Premier League.

Head coach Erik will be keen to see his side make it six in a row by taking all three points off the Villans and maintain their spot in the fifth position.

Possible Manchester United starting line-up

David de Gea; Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Scott McTominay, Christian Eriksen; Anthony Elanga, Marcus Rashford, Cristiano Ronaldo,
