Bale, Son, Moura celebrate Tottenham goals with interesting gestures

Tottenham picked up a 4-0 win over Burnley on Sunday and Gareth Bale celebrated his goal by flicking three fingers up and down in the shape of a W and an M.

Apparently the Welsh international was recognising the efforts of the Make-a-wish foundation which fulfils the wishes of children with a critical illness.

The WM celebration has been misconstrued as a Welsh mafia celebration as well referring to the collection of Welsh players at Tottenham.

Attacker Son Heung-Min also joined in on the celebrations and appeared to do a K with his fingers.

In response to Gareth Bale’s celebration, Lucas Moura came up with his personalised gesture as well.

The Brazilian created a J and L with his fingers which meant ‘Just Lucas’.

Reflecting on his teammate’s celebration, Gareth Bale added: “Because everyone is saying ours is Welsh Mafia, he’s decided to go with Just Lucas!”

The Welshman seemed in red hot form in the last game and Mourinho will be hoping for more of the same from the on-loan Real Madrid winger.

Bale has struggled to recapture his peak form since his arrival at Tottenham but his display against Burnley was quite encouraging and it will be interesting to see if he can build on it in the coming weeks.

The Welshman was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch against Burnley and he could be crucial to Tottenham’s ambitions of finishing in the Champions League places.
