Brentford

Brentford will look to go back to winning ways when they welcome Brighton the Brentford Community Stadium this Friday.

Brentford have had a fairly decent start to the EPL season, and sit in eleventh place in the EPL table with ten points after nine rounds of football.

Tom Frank’s side have recorded some impressive victories along the way, with a 4-0 over Manchester United and another 5-2 win over Leeds United. In all, the Bees have picked up two wins, four draws and three defeats, their latest being a 5-1 mauling in the hands of Newcastle United last weekend.

However, since their 5-2 win over Leeds United, Brentford have picked up just one point since then and head coach Thomas Frank will now look to see his side bounce back when they go toe-to-toe with Brighton.

This fixture has seen an equal share of the spoils in recent times. With two wins and two defeats and one draw in their last five meetings with the Seagulls, Brentford come into this game packed full of experience against the opponents and will fancy their chances of getting all three points against their East Sussex rivals.

Possible Brentford starting line-up

David Raya; Kristoffer Ajer, Ethan Pinnock, Ben Mee; Aaron Hickey, Joshua Dasilva, Shandon Baptiste, Mathias Jensen, Rico Henry; Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbeumo.

Injured: Sergi Canos, Ethan Pinnock, Christian Norgaard

Brighton

Roberto De Zerbi has not had the best start to his managerial career in East Sussex.

The Italian coach saw his side surrender a two-goal lead to Liverpool to draw 3-3 in his first game in charge of the Seagulls, thanks to a brilliant hat-trick from Leandro Trossard.

The draw to Liverpool was quickly followed by a 0-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, with a Harry Kane strike enough to separate both teams after 90 minutes.

However, the Italian coach will be pleased with the performance of his boys who put in hard work against a more solid opponent. The Seagulls controlled the encounter against Antonio Conte’s side with the larger share of possession and could have secured all three points if they were more clinical in front of the goal, having registered more shots than the Lilly Whites.

Brighton will be out to pick up their first win under the tutelage of Roberto De Zerbi, and with their impressive performance in his last two games in charge, the players and fans will be optimistic about their chances against Brentford whom they beat home and away last season.
