Chelsea eyeing a summer swoop for Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski after losing hope on Erling Haaland.

The Blues are now considering Lewandowski a viable option this summer.

Chelsea are starting to lose their hope on Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, who turns out to be their priority target.

However, Die Borussen are steadfast in their decision to not sell the Norwegian even for a sumptuous transfer fee.

It has led the Blues to look out for alternatives elsewhere, and the reports are stating the Londoners have switched their attention towards Robert Lewandowski.

It has also been added that the Champions League winners are plotting a £50m move for the Bayern Munich striker, whose exit links have surfaced lately.

The 32-year-old, arguably the best striker, has his contract running with the Bavarians until 2023, but he seems to be open to a new challenge. Bayern are also said to be preparing for a life without their prolific goalscorer.

The polish international enjoyed a record-breaking season in 2020/21, racking up 41 goals in Bundesliga, and he is now considered a favourite for the Ballon d’Or award.

Alongside Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City are keen on signing the Polish international, whom Bayern doesn’t want to lose for a lower price next year.

Tuchel is looking to add a prolific goalscorer to the Blues’ ranks as the German manager wants to build on a successful season.

Timo Werner’s form has been a concern following his staggering start to life at Stamford Bridge as he failed to create the same impact he had at Leipzig.
