Chelsea are keen on improving their goalkeeping options this summer and they have identified Burnley’s Nick Pope as a potential target.

Kepa has been very poor all season and it seems that Lampard has run out of patience with him. The Spaniard cost Chelsea a world record fee for a keeper and he was expected to perform a lot better.

Meanwhile, Pope has been one of the best in the Premier League for a while now and he could prove to be a good addition for the Blues.

The England international will be tempted to join a big club like Chelsea as well and Lampard should not have any problems convincing him.

If they can agree on a fee with Burnley, the transfer should be pretty easy to complete.

Pope and Henderson are England’s best keepers right now and Chelsea have been linked with both in the recent weeks.

It will be interesting to see who they end up with.

Chelsea will be hoping to sign Pope for a reasonable fee considering how expensive some of their other targets like Oblak are.

Burnley will not want to sell their star player but if they are forced to consider a sale, they are unlikely to sell for cheap.

A lot could depend on the player’s desire. If he decides to force the move, it could strengthen Chelsea’s position in the transfer chase.
