Chelsea ready £55million Henderson bid from United

Manchester United already decided Dean Henderson future

Chelsea are looking to improve their goalkeeping department this summer and they are prepared to make a move for Manchester United’s Dean Henderson.

The 23-year-old has had an outstanding loan spell at Sheffield United and he seems ready for first team football. However, United have De Gea as their starting keeper and Henderson might have to move on in order to be a starter.

If the Red Devils cannot guarantee him regular first team football, a move to Chelsea wouldn’t be a bad option for him. Kepa has failed to impress Chelsea boss Lampard and the fans. Henderson could easily replace him as their starter.

Apparently, the Blues are willing to pay him £170,000 a week to lure him to Stamford Bridge. Furthermore, they believe that a fee of £50m might be enough to tempt the Red Devils into selling the young keeper.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks.

Henderson is a top class talent who would improve Chelsea a lot. However, he plays for their direct rivals and convincing United to sell the player to them would be difficult.

Manchester United will want to keep the player at the club. It remains to be seen if they can convince Henderson to stay.

De Gea looks a shadow of his former self and relying on Henderson to replace him properly wouldn’t be a bad option for the Red Devils. It could be a gamble worth taking.
