Chelsea Transfer: Tammy Abraham asking price revealed, Giroud unlikely to sign an extension

Chelsea Transfer Rumours: Tammy Abraham asking price revealed, Olivier Giroud unlikely to sign an extension

Tammy Abraham-Chelsea

Abraham valued at £40m

Chelsea are prepared to cash in on Tammy Abraham this summer.

The 23-year-old has not been a regular starter for Thomas Tuchel this season and he needs to leave the club in order to play regularly and fulfil his potential.

Despite managing to score 12 goals for the Blues this season Abraham has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter ahead of the likes of Timo Werner.

The youngster was Chelsea’s top scorer with 18 goals last season as well and the Blues value him at around £40 million.

The player has been heavily linked with the likes of West Ham United in recent weeks and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

There is no doubt that the 23-year-old has the potential to develop into a top-class Premier League striker and he needs to join a club where the manager will trust in his ability and allow him to express himself every week.

Giroud future

Meanwhile, striker Olivier Giroud is also expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of this season.

The 34-year-old has also fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea like Tammy Abraham and he’s unlikely to extend his contract with the Premier League side.

According to reports, the Blues are willing to open discussions regarding a new deal with the 34 year old striker but it would be a short term extension and the player would have to agree to a limited role.

The striker’s current contract expires in the summer and it will be interesting to see if another club can snap him up on a free transfer.

The French international has been a big player for Chelsea at key junctures of the season and he is still good enough to play at a high level.

It remains to be seen where he ends up eventually.
