Manchester United have been linked with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo once again.

The Portuguese superstar left Old Trafford in 2009 but he has been linked with a return quite a few times.

According to reports, Manchester United sponsors Chevrolet are now ready to help the Premier League club finance a move for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo will be allowed to leave Juventus at the end of the season and the 35-year-old would prove to be a quality addition to the Manchester United attack.

With wages of around 500,000 pounds a week, Manchester United need some financial help to pull off the transfer and Chevrolet believe that it would benefit them commercially if they can help bring The Portuguese international back to Old Trafford.

Ever since Ronaldo moved to Juventus, that Italian club’s sponsors Jeep have seen their sales rise over the last two years and Chevrolet believe that he could have a similar impact on their brand as well.

Furthermore Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at Juventus saw their stock price rise by 30% just after a week and Manchester United will be hoping for a similar financial impact if they can bring their former winger back to the club at the end of this season.

It will be interesting to see where the Portuguese international ends up at the end of this season. He has already proven himself in England and he might be keen on a new challenge.
