Dortmund lower Sancho price tag amid Manchester United interest

Barcelona and Real Madrid could enter the race for Jadon Sancho

The English winger remains a top target for the Red Devils.

Borussia Dortmund have decided to lower the valuation of Jadon Sancho, thereby allowing Manchester United to revoke their interest.

According to reports, Die Borussen have affixed £88m for Sancho, slashing £20m off his original £108m value, which prevented United from signing him last summer.

Dortmund, perhaps, were steadfast in their valuation, which made Man Utd difficult to negotiate for the signing of Sancho in the last summer.

As a result, the Old Trafford outfit turned their attention towards Ivorian prospect Amad Diallo and they recently signed him from Atalanta for a fee worth £37m.

However, Diallo is not expected to feature with the first team any time soon and United are said to be still in the race for Sancho.

The 20-year-old turned out to be one of the best players in Europe last term but has experienced a slight dip in his form – especially his goal-scoring prowess – this season. Nevertheless, a tally of 3 goals and 9 assists in Bundesliga is still impressive for a young prodigy like Sancho. He has also been excellent since the turn of the year, netting four goals and four assists in seven games.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the former Manchester City star but it remains to be seen whether they would go for him after reckless spending in the last summer transfer window.

Man Utd are currently second in the Premier League table and they have a great chance to recruit Sancho should they end up as the winners or secure a top-four finish at least.
