Everton are interested in signing the Valencia striker Maxi Gomez this summer.

It is no secret that Ancelotti will have to improve his attacking options in order to secure European qualification next season.

Gomes is highly rated in Spain and he could prove to be a quality addition to Everton’s attack next season.

The 24-year-old striker joined Valencia from Celta Vigo last summer but the Spanish outfit are under financial stress and they are looking to sell most of their key players this summer.

Valencia paid £13 million for the striker last year and they are likely to let him leave for less.

It would be quite a bargain for Everton if they managed to pull off the transfer in the coming weeks.

Everton have two quality attackers in Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison. However, they need more depth in order to challenge the likes of Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers for European qualification.

Carlo Ancelotti has done well to improve his midfield options so far with the signings of James Rodriguez and Allan. Abdoulaye Doucoure is set to join the Toffees in the coming days as well.

It will be important to improve their defence and attack before the window shuts. Everton must look to bring in a quality striker and a quality full-back in the coming weeks.

Maxi Gomez was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League last season and the player is likely to be tempted if the Toffees come forward with a concrete offer this summer.

A chance to play in the Premier League is an attractive proposition for most players and Gomez would get to work with a world-class manager like Carlo Ancelotti if he moves to Goodison Park.
