AC Milan are reportedly looking to buy Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish.

The Englishman become one of the most expensive transfers in the world when he signed for Pep Guardiola’s side for £100m last summer. Yet, he has failed to regularly impress at the Etihad, having scored just seven times and given four assists in 44 starts and 11 substitute outings.

He has scored just once in the Premier League this season, leading to speculation that his long-term future at the Etihad Stadium is in doubt.

According to the Italian website Calciomercato via Sportsmole, Guardiola may be prepared to cash in on Grealish should an opportunity arise over the coming transfer windows. The 27-year-old has a contract with City until 2027, but could be on the move should the right offer arrive.

According to the report, AC Milan are monitoring the situation should Grealish become available and they need an extra attacker.

The San Siro side are in danger of losing star player Rafael Leao as the Portuguese has just under 19 months remaining on his contract. And so, the Italian giants are in a position where they may soon have to consider a sale given that Leao is reluctant to commit to a new deal.

They have placed a £100m price tag on the 23-year-old, although they will want to do everything in their power to keep him.

Nevertheless, should they sell Leao, Grealish is regarded as a realistic alternative.

The report suggests that a bid worth €70m (£60.47m) may be enough to tempt Man City into a sale, despite their higher financial outlay on the player less than 18 months ago.
