Leeds United have been linked with a move for the Levante midfielder Jose Campana.

The 27-year-old has done well for the Spanish club and he could prove to be a useful signing for the newly promoted Premier League side.

Leeds need to add some creativity to their midfield and they have been looking at the likes of Rodrigo De Paul this summer.

Campana would add goals and assists to Bielsa’s midfield. Also, he would share the creative burden with Pablo Hernandez this season.

The Leeds veteran is in his 30s and he needs support. Hernandez won’t be able to perform at a high level every week.

It will be interesting to see if the Whites submit an offer for Campana in the coming weeks.

The player is valued at €30m and Leeds can certainly afford to pay that.

However, they have spent big money on their defence and attack already with the signings of Koch, Llorente and Rodrigo. Spending another €30m on a midfielder might not be possible.

Levante will have to lower the asking price for Campana for the move to go through.

A move to Leeds United would be ideal for Campana right now.

The chance to play in the premier League is often an attractive proposal for most players and the 27 year old is at the peak of his career right now. He will be determined to show his quality at the highest level.

It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can find an agreement in the coming weeks now.
