Leeds United plotting move for £40m-rated Wolves winger Adama Traore

Man United eyeing Adama Traore transfer, amid interest from City, Liverpool

The Spaniard has become a frustrated figure at Molineux due to lack of game time.

Leeds United have added Wolves winger Adama Traore to their transfer wish list after the Spaniard has failed to attain the starter berth under Nuno Santo.

According to reports, Leeds are interested in making a move for the 24-year-old, who is rated around £40m. In addition, Leeds chief Victor Orta is understood to be a great admirer of Traore.

The reports also add that the Elland Road club are willing to provide Traore the escape route to maximise his chances of securing his place in the Spain national team for Euros next year.

The ex-Barcelona star looks like a shadow of his former self after failing to rack up a goal or an assist in the Premier League so far. Last season, he turned out to be one of the league’s prominent wingers, which later led to a call up from the national team and also saw him get linked with giants like Liverpool and Manchester City.

Having made only seven appearances as the starter for Wolves this season, there hasn’t been any progress over his contract talks with the club, thus leaving his future at Molineux in limbo.

Leeds are looking to take advantage of this situation by adding Traore to their ranks to enhance their title ambition. Marcelo Bielsa’ men have been fluctuating in the English top-flight this season, suffering seven defeats so far – including the 6-2 humiliation against Manchester United – albeit their impressive performances on occasions.
