Leeds United

Leeds United will look to break their jinx of consecutive games without a win when they welcome Arsenal to Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts put in great work to avoid relegation last season, and have looked more cohesive unit under Jesse Marsch this season.

The Peacocks took off to a flying start in the Premier League this season, going on a three-game unbeaten streak, including impressive wins over Chelsea and Wolves setting up in good stead in the League table.

However, they have seen their early season form wane in recent weeks, and have been winless in their last five games.

Jesse Marsch will be under pressure to get his team back to winning ways and avoid a repeat of last season’s scenario.

Leeds United sit 14th in the League standings, with nine points, three points above the relegation zones. The Peacocks will now look to improve their point tally by stealing points off League leaders Arsenal who have been in impressive form this season, and with an impressive five-game run without defeat at home, Marsch and his boys will fancy their chances against Arsenal, with Elland Road backing them.

Possible Leeds United starting line-up

Illan Meslier; Nissen Kristensen, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk; Tyler Adams, Marc Roca; Brenden Aaronson, Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra; Rodrigo Moreno

Injured: Archie Gray, Leo Fuhr Hjelde, Adam Forshaw

Doubtful: Junior Firpo

Suspended: None

Arsenal

Arsenal travel to Elland Road in search of their seventh win in all competitions when they travel to West Yorkshire to take on Leeds United.

Mikel Arteta’s side lead the title-chasing pack in terms of points tally, but with Manchester City breathing down their necks, there is little room for the Gunners to breathe, and the Spanish coach will be keen to see his side maintain their stride and pick up yet another win to keep the Cityzens at bay.

Arsenal secured an impressive win over Liverpool last weekend, with a Bukayo Saka brace and a Gabriel Martinelli early goal enough to secure all three points for the Gunners, despite Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino getting their names on the score sheet for the Reds.

The Gunners come into this game off the back of a 0-1 win over Bodo/Glimt last Thursday, a game that took their tally of wins to three in a row in the Europa League to take them top of Group A.

Therefore, the Gunners come into this tie as the better team and will fancy their chances of getting the job done at Elland Road.

Possible Arsenal starting line-up

Aaron Ramsdale; Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel, Takehiro Tomiyasu; Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey; Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli; Gabriel Jesus.

Injured: Emile Smith Rowe, Mohamed Elneny, Oleksandr Zinchenko

Doubtful: None
