Man United star agrees two year deal with Boca Juniors ahead of a potential move

Tottenham vs Manchester United Preview - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in press conference

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has agreed on a two-year contract with Boca Juniors and the Argentine club have the option of extending his deal for another season.

The defender has fallen out of favour at Manchester United and he needs to leave the club in order to play regular first-team football.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United sanction his exit this month.

According to reports, Boca Juniors are unwilling to pay money to secure the defender services and Manchester United must agree to terminate his contract so that he can join the club on a free transfer.

It remains to be seen whether the defender joins up with Boca Juniors this month or in the summer.

Marcos Rojo could still be a good player for most teams and he could prove to be a superb signing for Boca juniors.

The arrival of Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire has pushed him down the pecking order at Old Trafford and he will be desperate to resurrect his career with regular football elsewhere.

It is evident that the player wants to move on from Manchester United and the Premier League side should allow him to secure the move. It would also help them get his wages off their books.

A transfer looks beneficial for all parties involved and it will be interesting to see if an agreement is secured in the coming weeks.
