Barcelona are desperate to offload Philippe Coutinho this summer but the midfielder will have to lower his salary demands in order to secure an exit from the Spanish club.

The 29-year-old has been a major flop since moving to the Catalan club and Barcelona are now prepared to cut their losses on him.

The Spanish club are aware that they will have to lower the asking price as well in order for the move to go through.

No club is looking to pay a significant amount of money for Coutinho and most of the teams interested in him are looking to snap him up on a loan deal.

Apparently the likes of Inter Milan and Leicester City are keen on signing the player on loan this summer.

However the Brazilian international dreams of a return to Liverpool.

The Reds helped Coutinho develop into one of the most coveted midfielders in the world and a return to his comfort zone could help him regain his form and confidence.

However, Liverpool have quite a few players in that position and they are unlikely to make a move to sign the Brazilian this summer.

Furthermore, Jurgen Klopp does not plan to bring the player back to the club either.

The 29-year-old midfielder has struggled to get regular game time at Barcelona this past season and he will need to leave in order to play more often.

It will be interesting to see if he can find a club willing to gamble on him and give him the opportunity he needs to resurrect his career.
