PSG and Inter Milan keen on soon-to-become free agent Georginio Wijnaldum

Georginio Wijnaldum-Sadio Mane-Liverpool

Wijnaldum’s contract at Liverpool will run out at the end of this season.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has his contract expiring this summer and his future remains up in the air.

According to reports, PSG and Inter Milan are keeping tabs on the Dutch midfielder ahead of a potential free transfer this summer.

Inter, who are currently topping the Serie A table, have a packed midfield – which consists of Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Christian Eriksen – and still, they want to add Wijnaldum to their ranks as a free agent.

Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with a move for Tottenham outcast Dele Alli, with Mauricio Pochettino eyeing a reunion with the English midfielder. Now, it looks like Les Parisiens wants to sign the Dutchman as well.

Wijnaldum was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona last summer as Ronald Koeman was steadfast on reuniting with his Dutch counterpart. However, the Reds managed to convince the 29-year-old to stay put at Anfield.

Now, the Merseyside club have reportedly failed to reach an agreement with Wijnaldum over a contract extension and there is only little hope for him to last beyond this summer.

The former Newcastle United man has been instrumental to the Reds in winning the Champions League in the 2018/19 season and a Premier League title the next season.

It remains to be seen whether the Reds will hold on to the Dutch midfielder for another season citing their growing injury concerns.
