Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur will look to make it three wins in three games when they host Frank Lampard’s Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts secured an impressive hard fought 3-2 win over Frankfurt in the fourth game of their Champions League Group stage games last Wednesday.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min combined once more to devastating effect to down the Germans, with the South Korean helping himself to a brace, while Harry Kane scored one from the penalty spot to complete the comeback win.

The win against the Germans took Antonio Conte’s side to the first position in Group D after Marseille defeated Sporting Lisbon. The Italian coach will now turn his attention to getting back in the title race after dropping points against Arsenal two weeks ago.

The Lilly Whites secured a 0-1 win over Brighton last weekend, and now trail League leaders Arsenal by four points. With Arsenal and Manchester City in first and second places, Tottenham know they can ill afford to drop more points, therefore Antonio Conte will be keen to see his boys take all three points against Everton to keep the leaders within touching distance.

Possible Tottenham starting line-up

Hugo Lloris; Cristian Romero, Eric Dier, Ben Davies; Matt Doherty, Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Ryan Sessegnon; Son Heung-min, Harry Kane.

Injured: Japhet Tanganga

Doubtful: None

Suspended: Emerson Royal

Everton

Everton succumbed to their third defeat of the season last weekend against Manchester United, with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Antony turning the tide in the Red Devil’s favour after Alex Iwobi had given Everton the lead inside five minutes.

Frank Lampard will now look to get his side back to winning ways when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The loss against Manchester United saw Everton drop to 12th place in the EPL standings with ten points. Despite their league position, the Toffees have been a much more improved side this season, after battling with relegation all through last season and escaping by the skin of their teeth.

Lampard will be keen to avoid a repeat of such scenes this season, and a win over Antonio Conte’s side will be a step in the right direction with just four points separating them from the relegation zones.

Everton can come into this game with the belief that they can get a good result against Tottenham Hotspur, having managed to avoid defeat four out of the five times the two teams have met, picking up two wins in the process. However, the last meeting between both sides saw Frank Lampard’s side suffer a heavy defeat, with a 5-0 score line.

Possible Everton starting line-up

Jordan Pickford; Seamus Coleman, Conor Coady, James Tarkowski, Vitalii Mykolenko; Idrissa Gueye, Alex Iwobi, Amadou Onana; Dwight McNeil, Demarai Gray, Neal Maupay.

Injured: Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina, Nathan Petterson, Andros Townsend

Doubtful: None

Suspended: Anthony Gordon
