Having secured Champions League football for next season, Antonio Conte and his Tottenham side will turn their attention to securing a second consecutive win in the Premier League.

After recording back-to-back losses to Manchester United and Newcastle bounced back in style at the weekend as they came from behind to beat Bournemouth FC 3-2.

In a dramatic game at the Vitality Stadium, Conte’s men fell two goals behind within the first 49 minutes thanks to a brace from Kieffer Moore. But goals from Ryan Sessegnon, Ben Davies and Rodrigo Bentancur in the 92nd minute gave Spurs maximum points and ensured that they kept up pace with the top two teams.

The North London side followed up that win with another late win over Marseille in the Champions League in midweek; this time Pierre Emile Hojbjerg found the back of the net to secure a win and send Spurs to the next round of the UCL as group winners.

But they will have to avoid falling behind again on Saturday if they want to win this Liverpool side, who they have struggled against in recent games. The North London side won just one of the last 21 H2Hs against Jurgen Klopp’s men(D6, L14). However, with just one home loss in their last 12 games (W10, D1) Conte will be thinking there’s no better time to take on Jürgen Klopp’s vulnerable squad.

Liverpool

Liverpool will hope to record their first Premier League win away from home this season when they travel to London.

The Reds have been miserable this season in the Premier League, with four losses already in the league after 13 rounds of games.

Two of those losses came in their last two games, with the first of the series coming against the bottom-of-the-table Nottingham Forest who defeated them 1-0 at City Ground.

Last weekend, Leeds United stunned them at Anfield, running out 2-1 winners over the hosts and ending their 29-game unbeaten run at home in the league.

Those two results have left Jurgen Klopp’s men sitting in the ninth position, a whole ten points behind third-placed Tottenham who they face on Sunday.

And so, this game becomes for Liverpool a must-win if they want to maintain any small hope they still have of finishing in the top four.

Having become the first club to defeat Napoli this season when they ran out 2-0 winners over the Serie A side on Tuesday, the visitors will fancy their chances of getting a result here. Ahead of this tie, Klopp has promised that his side will give their best despite their injury woes. He will hope that his side responds adequately to two consecutive losses when they face Conte’s men.

Possible Liverpool starting line-up

Alisson Becker; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, Fabinho; Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino.

Injured: Diogo Jota, Joel Matip, Luis Diaz, Arthur, Naby Keita

Doubtful: James Milner
