Tottenham Update: Latest on Di Maria, Max Aarons, Dele Alli exit and Ings advice

Angel and Stars put PSG in their first Champions League final

Tottenham are thought to have made an approach to sign Angel Di Maria from Paris Saint Germain.

The 32-year-old winger will be a free agent at the end of this season and Spurs are hoping to sign him up on a free transfer.

Di Maria has played in the Premier League before with Manchester United and it was a forgettable spell for him. It will be interesting to see if Jose Mourinho can convince him to return to England at the end of the season.

The Argentine international is a world-class player and he could certainly improve Tottenham in the short term but it would be an expensive signing for them given his massive wages.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are open to letting  Dele Alli leave the club on a loan deal this month only if they can find a replacement.

According to reports, Christian Eriksen is an option for the London club but the Danish internationals wages could be a problem for them.

Alli has fallen down the pecking order under Mourinho and he wants to reunite with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint Germain.

Tottenham do not want to weaken their midfield options and they will only let him leave if they can bring in a proper replacement before the transfer window closes.

Meanwhile Norwich right-back Max Aarons has been linked with a move to Tottenham.

The championship defender is one of the most talented young players in the country right now and it is hardly a surprise that Spurs want to sign him up.

Apparently Manchester United and Everton are interested in signing the 21-year-old as well and Spurs are now weighing up a 20 million pounds bid for him in the summer.

Finally, former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has urged Danny Ings to snub a move to Tottenham this summer.

The Southampton striker is the main player at his club but he will be a backup to Harry Kane if he moves to the London club and bent wants him to play regularly at Southampton instead.

Apparently, Ings is keen on joining a club with European football and he has been linked with a move to Spurs.
