Tottenham’s struggles continued with another set-back against West Ham United.

West Ham United’s dream run in the Premier League continued with a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur.

Michail Antonio put the hosts ahead when he poked the ball into the nets on the rebound, resulting from Jarrod Bowen’s cross.

Spurs had a good chance to get back on the game after Eric Lamela made a scintillating run and found Harry Kane, who eventually rifled his shot over the post.

Hammers inflicted more pain on Spurs when Jesse Lingard doubled the lead as soon as the second half commenced. The English midfielder has been in fine nick since making his loan move from Manchester United.

Gareth Bale brought some energy to Spurs’ attack after he was brought onto the field as a substitute.

The Welsh winger helped Spurs halve the deficit by setting up Lucas Moura’s header from the corner kick. The on-loan Real Madrid star also had his thunderous strike denied by the top of the crossbar.

Despite their efforts, Spurs found it difficult to beat Hammers’ robust defence, eventually succumbing to a defeat.

On the other hand, David Moyes’ side continued an unprecedented run as they have moved to fourth place in the Premier League table.

Jose Mourinho’s men have been under more pressure of late after letting go of the dominance they had in the first half of the season. They currently sit at ninth position in the balance and are far off from securing the Champions League qualification.
