West Ham

After an impressive outing in the UEFA Conference League last weekend, West Ham will look to make it three wins in a row when they host fellow Londoners Fulham.

The Hammers endured a slow start to the season, picking up just one win in their first six games, but have since then returned to secure back-to-back victories in all competitions for the first time this season.

David Moyes’ side defeated Wolves with a 2-0 scoreline last weekend, with goals from Gianluca Scamacca and Jared Bowen handing the Scottish manager a lifeline on the job.

After spending the earlier part of the season in the relegation places, the win over Wolves took West Ham into 15th place in the League standings after nine rounds of football and Hammers will now look to build on their win by picking up yet another win against the league new boys Fulham.

David Moyes’ team come into this game off the back of a 0-1win over Anderlecht in the UEFA Europa Conference League in midweek, and a record of four wins in their last five games against the Cottagers, West Ham come into this game with hope and momentum knowing that the game is theirs to lose.

Possible West Ham starting line-up

Lukasz Fabianski; Thilo Kehrer, Craig Dawson, Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell; Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice; Pablo Fornals; Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen; Gianluca Scamacca.

Injured: Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet

Doubtful: Ben Johnson

Suspended: None

Fulham

Fulham tasted their second defeat in their last three games when they fell to a 1-4 mauling at the hands of Newcastle United last weekend, albeit, having played the majority of the game with ten men after Nathan Chalobah received his marching orders for a foul in the eighth minute of the game.

The loss was further aggravated by the injury to star striker Alexander Mitrovic who was replaced by Carlos Vinicius in the 37th minute.

The Serbian marksman is now poised to miss the game against the Hammers alongside Layvin Kurzawa and Nathaniel Chalobah who misses out through suspension. The three absentees will be a major blow for head coach Marco Silva as his team take on David Moyes’ side, but following their impressive start to the season, the Cottagers can dare to believe in getting a good result against the Hammers.

Possible Fulham starting line-up

Bernd Leno;Kevin Mbabu, Tosin Adarabioyo, Tim Ream, Issa Diop; Harrison Reed, Joao Palhinha; Bobby Reid, Andrea Pereira, Daniel James; Carlos Vinicius.

Injured: Aleksandar Mitrovic, Manor Solomon, Harry Wilson, Willian, Layvin Kurzawa

Doubtful: Kenny Tete, Antonee Robinson

Suspended: Nathaniel Chalobah
