Juventus 0-3 Fiorentina: Cuadrado gets red, 10-man Juventus suffer shock home defeat

La Viola hit three past the defending champions to secure a shocking win in Serie A.

Fiorentina have stunned Juventus at home after hitting three past them in the midweek’s Serie A fixture.

Fiorentina made their impression straightaway when they caught Juve on the break, with striker Dusan Vlahovic eventually finding the nets past Szczesny.

The home side suffered another setback after Juan Cuadrado saw a red card for his horrible sliding tackle on Gaetano Castrovilli.

La Viola tried to pounce on the ten-man Bianconeri side but they had a shot denied by the Polish goalkeeper.

Juve tried to fight back despite being a man down as Cristiano Ronaldo hit the side of the nets while former Fiorentina ace Federico Chiesa forced a save from Dragowski.

The Bianconeri’s chances of getting back into the game were ended when Alex Sandro found his own nets to give Fiorentina their second goal.

La Viola added another goal in the final quarter through Martin Caceres’ strike to make it 3-0 against the defending champions.

Andrea Pirlo would be frustrated with the result as the defeat marked Juve’s first of the season.

Meanwhile, Cesare Prandelli’s side have won their third game of the season and they also did it in style by stunning the defending champions.

Juve’s chances of retaining the title are withering down with each passing week’s disappointing results. The Old Lady have already drawn six times in Serie A this season, the most by a side in the league alongside Parma.

Pirlo’s men will next face Udinese in Serie A after a week-long break.
